Jupiter enters Taurus

Jupiter, known as Brihaspati in Sanskrit and consider to be the priest of the gods, has just entered Taurus. It will be transiting though this sign for the next year. This ends the exchange of signs between Mars in Pisces and Jupiter in Aries. In Taurus Jupiter aspects Virgo, Scorpio, and Capricorn. This transit should help one find hidden or unsuspected sources of wealth, help with health and healing, and provide career opportunities.

Jupiter is generally seen as benefic, but it can also bring difficulties. The increase in career opportunities brought on by its aspecting of Capricorn can bring increased responsibility, stress, and burdens. The increase in wealth can bring the loss of a loved ones, as Scorpio often indicates wealth gained through inheritance. Jupiter indicates grace and can help one through such difficulties, but it may not feel good. The details of this depend on your ascendant and the planet placements in your natal chart and how this interacts with current transits.

Taurus is ruled by Venus and Venus is in Aries, ruled by Mars. Mars is in Pisces ruled by Jupiter and Jupiter is in Taurus. This puts Jupiter in the unusual position of being the indirect ruler of a sign ruled by Venus, while transiting that sign. This will be the case for the next three weeks, making Jupiter especially strong during this time. The areas of life indicated by Pisces, Aries, and Taurus will be especially blessed by Jupiter during this time.

Taking action in the areas indicated by Jupiter’s aspects discussed above; such as paying off debts, taking action to improve your health, or asking for a raise will be more likely to bring good results during this time. Plant seeds in these areas and Jupiter will help them grow.

To understand how these transits affect you an individual analysis is required. The interaction between your natal chart and the transits of the planets is always very individual and personal. Contact me for a reading at
