Mercury goes retrograde in Sagittarius

The big change this week is that Mercury will go retrograde in Sagittarius on Friday and will remain retrograde until the beginning of January. The Sun will join it there by Sunday and Mercury will be combust by Monday. This will cause problems with communications, travel, and electronics. Computers and cars are more likely to break down and usually there will be many little obstacles that cause frustration.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter and is aspected by a retrograde Jupiter in Aries. This will bring the sense of the breakdown in the normal flow of things into the areas of values, higher learning, the legal system, and certain authority figures. You may make a technical mistake in paperwork or be unable to send important communications because your computer breaks and this may cause you problems in a college course or enrollment. This could also happen in regards to the legal system, which could cost you in fines or other legal penalties.

These are just examples of things more likely to occur with this placement of Mercury and Jupiter. Paradoxically, this is also a time when you will have a chance to fix or make amends for similar mistakes you have made in the past. It is a time when normal ways of thinking, communicating, and travel fail. This forces you to reflect, think anew, and communicate in new ways. It is frustrating, but it can create opportunities and positive change. It is important to pay attention to detail and double check, especially in communications.

To understand how these transits affect you an individual analysis is required. The interaction between your natal chart and the transits of the planets is always very individual and personal. Contact me for a reading at .
