Venus goes retrograde in Leo

In four days, Venus will start its retrograde in Leo, which will last for six weeks. It will be directly opposite a retrograde Saturn in Aquarius. Though Venus and Saturn are friends, this mutual aspect of retrogrades means this will be a time when relationships, especially long-term relationships are challenged. It may also be a time when passions and hobbies no longer give you joy, and some may have to face the consequence of addictions. One will have to reevaluate these things and the larger structures and commitments in one’s life, you may realize you have outgrown many things during this time. This will be an especially emotional time for those with natal moons in Capricorn, Aquarius, or Pisces.

At the same time that Venus goes retrograde Mercury will enter its gandanta or “drowning point”, this happens at the last three degrees of a water sign and the first three degrees of a fire sign. This means the influence of Mercury will largely disappear from the chart during this period. However, it will be short lived, lasting only five days. During these five days on going communications and interactions will suddenly stop. Many people may “ghost” you or seem to other wise disappear. Communication in general will be difficult and it is likely you will feel misunderstood and isolated. There will also likely be difficulty in short trips, such as commuting to work. You are likely to miss important meetings due to traffic jams, flat tires, or accidents. It will be useful to prepare for such things and allow extra time for traveling.

In a month there will be another big change as the Sun will leave Cancer entering Leo and Mars will enter Virgo, meaning the Moon will no longer be dominating the chart a mentioned in last weeks post. Two weeks after that Venus will go direct again. These events will help to stabilize everyday life and relationships, but it will be important that you use the insights gained during this period of turmoil and reflection.

To understand how these transits affect you an individual analysis is required. The interaction between your natal chart and the transits of the planets is always very individual and personal. Contact me for a reading at .
